Bryan Bickell Added to Blackhawks Top Line

Forward Bryan Bickell is poised to be the latest fill-in on the Chicago Blackhawks' top line during Patrick Sharp's absence. (Chicago Tribune)

Bickell skated with Jonathan Toews and Patrick Kane during Thursday's practice. He should get a chance to strut his stuff in that role against the Columbus Blue Jackets on Friday.

Unsurprisingly, the 25-year-old winger is pretty pumped.

"It's good, they're unbelievable to play with, they're elite guys in the league," Bickell said. "To play with those guys, it's fun. Makes it a lot easier on your job, for sure. I need to keep it simple and see how it goes from there."

Sharp, out with a suspected leg injury since Mar. 20, could return as early as next week.
