Blackhawks:
There have been rumblings about the Blackhawks' interest in adding pop to the lineup, with a puck-moving defenseman on their shopping list. They could go high, after Brian Campbell, or get a younger, less expensive option like John-Michael Liles. The plan is to continue letting a strong young talent base mature and to supplement it with compatible talent.

Predators:
Don't expect too much, because the brass figures to stick with a lean payroll. The Preds might pick up a tough guy to replace Darcy Hordichuk -- would he possibly return? They might snoop around for a veteran backup goalie or supplemental scoring, but they'll do so in the bargain bin.
